REGISTRATION

A vessel is entitled to sail under the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus at the moment of the registration of the vessel in the State Ship Register of the Republic of Belarus .A vessel having the right to sail under the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus is a vessel with Belarusian Nationality and is required to carry the Belarusian State flag.

Vessels can be registered in the State Ship Register of the Republic of Belarus if they are subject to technical survey by a classification society.

According to the Belarusian legislation, the following vessels can be registered in the State Ship Register of the Republic of Belarus and can obtain the right to sail under the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus:

state owned vessels,
vessels owned by a legal entity and/or a natural person ,including foreigners as well as people without citizenship but permanently living in the Republic of Belarus,
foreign vessels operated by Belarusian legal entity and /or a natural person under a lease of a vessel without crew(bareboat-charter) or a lease contract.

The following documents are issued after the registration of the vessel in the State Ship Register:

Certificate of navigation under the Flag of the Republic of Belarus
Certificate of ownership
Certificate of ownership of ship at construction
